Glee Star in Igigi at Elton John's Oscar Party

As a massive Glee fan I was very pleased to see one of the stars looking absolutely fabulous in an amazing Igigi dress, available at curvety.com.

Ashley Fink, who plays Lauren Zizes in Glee, attended  Elton John's 20th Anniversary AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing party in Beverly Hills last weekend. She definitely gave every woman there a run for their money in the style stakes, looking totally curvalicious in the Tarina Gown with aurora beaded belt.

Eastenders Star Cheryl Fergison in Curvety at National Television Awards 2012

Eastenders Guide - How Not To Wear Igigi

It's not often I report on Eastenders news but some of you may have noticed a little Igigi appearance on a recent episode!

So Heather is all set to be Shirley's bridesmaid and in true Eastenders form the try on session involved a few drinks and very little class.

This summer has seen the popularity of the maxi dress continue, and why not? Who doesn't feel fabulously feminine in a long flowing summer dress.

It's not always the easiest style to find in plus sizes as the free falling cut of the maxi dress can have a very unflattering tent effect on the fuller figure if not handled well. That's not to say there aren't any acceptions...

I particularly love the maui dress which has an empire waist and fuller straps so is sure to flatter rather than drown. Another great style is the eyelet halter dress which just shouts femininity. Author Chooses Igigi

Chamein Canton, the 2007 Reviewers Choice Award-winner for African American Romance in the US, has chosen to wear an Igigi design to the Romantic Times Booklover's Convention on April 18. Canton will receive the award for her book 'Not His Type,' a romance novel about a full-figured, size-16 woman who finds the love of her life in a New York Yankee.

Nikki Blonski chooses Igigi again

Nikki Blonsky has always been a bit of an Igigi fan and has worn several pieces from the IGIGI collections to her public appearances in the past, including the Hairspray premiere and the Marianna dress she wore at the 'Critics Choice Awards 08'.

The actress is next to appear in Igigi at the 14th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards at the end of January, but this time it will be in a couture dress. Custom designed by IGIGI Founder and Designer Yuliya Zeltser, Blonsky's gown is made of stretch charmeuse satin in a vibrant royal blue and comes with a ruched sweetheart neckline and a cascading hemline with a long trail.

Igigi Extend Size Range

San Francisco based plus size designer line - Igigi (www.igigi.com), have announced the launch of a new size. The designer range which has been pictured on full-figured celebrities like American Idol contestant Lakisha Jones and Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky, have listened to their customers and bridged the gap between straight and plus sizes by adding US size 12 (UK 14) to their collections.

The company introduced a small collection of dresses and tops for women who struggle on the high street as they wear neither a straight nor a plus 14. Later this month will see the launch of a comprehensive work collection made up of separates including jackets, pants and skirts.

“We are very happy to add size 12 to our collections,” said Yuliya Zeltser, IGIGI Founder and Designer. “It is hard to shop for a woman who is in between straight and plus sizes. Straight size clothes are small and plus size clothes are too big. We had many size-14 shoppers saying that they really wanted to buy IGIGI, but our size 14 was too big for them. We did our homework, listened to our customers, and decided to come out with plus size 12 with a goal to fulfill their wishes.”

Igigi features at BET Awards

Two plus-size models dressed in the IGIGI Crown Jewels Velvet Gown in Onyx will escort host Kat Williams in the opening act at BET (Black Entertainment Television, a tribute to urban music artists at the top of their game. They have once again chosen to use dresses made by the fashion house in a performance at the 2007 Hip Hop Awards. Actress Mo’Nique and accompanying dancers had previously worn Shimmering Dress in Silver by IGIGI in the opening act of BET Awards in June 2007.

Yuliya Zeltser, IGIGI Founder and Designer has said “I am thrilled that yet another IGIGI gown makes it on BET in less than six months. Stylist Katja Dandri of Dandri Design chose to work with us again based on the feedback she got on the design and quality of the dresses from the previous BET Awards show.”

My favourite evening dress is back in the shops just in time for the party season.
