Fabulous Faux Fur

Vivienne Westwood has followed in the footsteps of other leading designers to ban fur from her collections. She joins Stella McCartney, Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein, all of whom have already boycotted fur. “We have not used fur of any kind in next season’s collection and have no plans to use it in the future,” a representative for the label told animal rights group PETA.

The controvery which surrounds fur has always been increased by its high class following, fur is a constant favourite with the rich and famous due to its luxurious feel and expense. In recent years the stigma attached to real fur has grown due to an increase in celebrity petitioning and a change in the views of the general public to saving the planet in general.

Opulant fur trim and accessories are very fashionable in this season of glamorous evening wear and embellishment. This is possible thanks to the improved quality of faux fur materials so make sure you're supporting the cause by opting for faux fur, like this gorgeous faux mink fur oversize handbag. I love this, it's the height of fashion and so luxurious!
